MISTRESS MALLIKA is a unique Blue Water cruiser. The primary design brief behind MISTRESS MALLIKA was performance, comfort and ease of sailing. Unlike many of the other Oyster 62s built, MISTRESS MALLIKA has a carbon fiber mast with a Park Avenue boom. The result is a yacht that is lighter and stiffer thanks to some 700 pounds being saved aloft compared to an in-mast furling rig. Having a lighter rig allowed the owner to have a shallower draft of 6'8" while still maintaining stability. The 6'8" draft gives access to more harbors and cruising grounds.
